What is your biggest pet hate about the world of financial services?
Santayana wrote (in the Life of Reason) “those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” - I think in this industry we all too frequently demonstrate a failure to learn from history. Very frustrating.
What is your favourite film, and why?
For sheer entertainment value - without question - Raiders of the Lost Ark. Edge of the seat stuff from the first to last minute, with some fantastic comic moments in between.
What car do you drive?
Volvo XC60
If you could change one thing overnight about the protection industry what would it be?
The decline in Bancassurance in recent years has been dramatic - so producing an overnight solution which could help the Banks viably re-engage their customers in the need for protection would be a hell of trick to pull off and would have wider benefits for the broader UK Protection market.
