Your invitation to join The Syndicate

by ProtectionReview 29/09/16 Category: Latest News

How would you like to become a member of The Syndicate?  The Syndicate was established six years ago and is run by Protection Review with the aim of being a research community exploring consumer sentiment towards protection products.  Over the past six years we’ve identified concepts such as “casino mentality” and “imaginary cover” and highlighted the importance of certainty and trust to consumers.  The six years of research has allowed us to accumulate a substantial amount of tracking data on trends in the protection industry but each year we also aim to highlight new trends and areas of interest to our members.  From 2016 we have also included adviser research, providing a wider perspective on protection and why people choose to buy products.

In 2016, members of The Syndicate included Aegon, AIG, Hannover Re UK Life Branch, LV= Scor, SunLife, Thunderhead, Vitality, and Zurich.  We are proud to partner with Cicero Group who provide political analysis and insight for the main report but also at the design stage.  This year we will once again be working with the excellent Opinium research agency.

What’s included?

The research costs are shared between members which makes The Syndicate an extremely cost effective way of carrying out consumer research. Added to this, membership includes the research report containing in depth analysis and commentary from industry figures.  As well as this, you’ll be invited to help design the research and to attend a webinar where the findings will be discussed as well as the launch event itself.  Membership is flexible and participative and also allows for you to include your own private questions if so desired.  We work closely with our research agency Opinium who offer expertise on question design and also offer members the chance to attend their events and purchase their research reports (such as The Advice Nation) at a discount.

There are two levels of membership as outlined below:

Core Syndicate:

Attendance at the advisory board meeting with input into the design of the research
Full data from the consumer research (in 2016 this ran to over 30 questions making it one of the industry’s largest consumer surveys)
Full data from the adviser research
Invitation to join a webinar where initial findings will be presented
Invitation to the launch event for the main research report and the chance to reach a cross-industry audience
Political analysis from Cicero based on the findings
The opportunity to use data from The Syndicate in strategic decision making
Electronic copies of the full research report including in depth analysis and commentary from industry figures
Namecheck as a member of The Syndicate in all PR and related activity online and in blogs

£5,000 (+VAT)

Deluxe Syndicate:

All the benefits of core syndicate plus exclusive ownership of up to five questions of your own.
If you wish to share findings of your own research with the audience of The Syndicate or at the launch event, we can arrange this.
