Allianz Partners Suisse International Healthcare Plan
Allianz Partners new plan, provided in partnership with local health insurance provider KPT and Allianz Global Assistance, offers expat health insurance plans for groups and individuals in Switzerland.
Offering a ‘one stop shop’ for expat insurance in Switzerland, the plan is one of the country’s first fully compliant international solutions. The partnership combines local and international expertise in terms of access to medical networks, claims management and helpline services. KPT is one of Switzerland’s most respected and innovative health insurance providers, while Allianz Worldwide Care (AWC) and Allianz Global Assistance are specialist brands of Allianz Worldwide Partners, one of the largest multinationals in the Allianz Group, with a strong global presence.
The plans are designed for people who want to combine quality domestic cover with comprehensive international cover. These include global organisations with teams based inside and outside of Switzerland, as well as Swiss nationals expatriated abroad and foreign residents in Switzerland, both of whom may travel frequently.
Customers get cashless access to treatments at a wide range of inpatient and daycare facilities, as well as other benefits including comprehensive oncology cover, medical evacuation, semi-private and private rooms. The core plans can also be supplemented with out-patient, dental, maternity and repatriation cover.
Comment: Switzerland spends more on health than almost any other county in the world and it also has one of the highest per capita GDPs. Even so, Allianz Partners says this is the country’s first fully compliant iPMI solutions.
As is now common, the plan is offered in conjunction with a local partner, in this case KPT, which is a well-known insurer in Switzerland.
The bottom line is, if you want a fully compliant iPMI plan for an expat working or living in Switzerland, this plan should certainly make the shortlist.
