Globality Health CoGenio
Luxembourg based Globality Health is the international health insurance centre of excellence for Munich Health and this plan operates in conjunction with Daman – the Abu Dhabi based premier health insurance specialist in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
CoGenio offers international private medical insurance (iPMI) for those in the UAE(United Arab Emirates). The plan offers a choice of two levels of coverage and two geographies – both are worldwide, and either include or exclude the USA. The plan is aimed at expatriates and is available on a group basis.
The two plan versions are called Top and Plus. Top offers up to AED (Arab Emirates Dirham) 75m of cover and Plus offers up to AED 50m of cover. Maximum benefits are halved if cover is not required in the USA.
Both versions offer comprehensive benefits, with Top offering higher limits for some benefits and it also covers hospice care (up to 49 days) and some additional assistance services too.
The plan offers access to 2,400+ providers in the Daman network within the MENA region. As with many iPMI plans, customers can manage their health insurance needs online and interact with Globality the same way. That includes access to an online gateway to promote a healthy active lifestyle. The policy wording is in both English and Arabic.
There is no minimum or maximum age and there are no deductibles. A range of flexible benefit options can be chosen to tailor cover to need and budget.
Comment: Globality is targeting the UAE market with a comprehensive plan offered in conjunction with Daman, the leading player in the region. The plan is set out well and simply and looks to offer the cover most likely to be needed, although there are relatively fewer choices compared to some iPMI plans. Insuring with large well-established providers is important to many expats and employers and this plan ticks that box both through Globality and Daman.
