Scottish Provident, part of the Royal London group along with fellow protection office Bright Grey, celebrated its 175th birthday in May and has introduced a number of changes to coincide with that. The eponymous Passport2Health is a new product and provider, aiming to give private medical insurance (PMI) benefits, but at a lower premium. It can do that by the customer having treatment not in the UK but overseas. As a result, savings of 30-50% are available, it says. Cover costs from £19 a month.
