Vitality at Work Enterprise (Protection Review rating: Gold, Adviser score 6.8)
Aimed at organisations with 1,000 plus employees, Vitality’s new at Work Enterprise plan has been launched to help large businesses support the wellbeing of their employees working at home, in offices and on site. The plan includes access to:
Vitality Age. This is a measure of whether an employee is ‘older’ or ‘younger’ than their biological age, based on health and lifestyle risk factors.
Vitality Healthcheck.
50-81% discounts on healthchecks.
40% gym discount at Virgin and Nuffield Health gyms.
Activity tracker discounts.
Healthy mid: 30% discount and up to six points a week.
Discounts deals and vouchers at a range of organisations.
Employee assistance programme.
The plan costs £4 a month per employee life covered. It is available with or without MI cover (at extra cost).
Comment: it’s good to see Vitality quick off the blocks in coming up with a new plan specifically taking note of the Covid-19 lockdown and its effect on employees.
For less than £50 a year per employee covered, firms can offer a range of help services and health-related deals.
For those who register before midnight on 31 August 2020 a range of time limited additional benefits are available too.
Plus points: A plan that takes account of the new normal for many employees; Low cost; Includes benefits, support, discounts and deals; Rewarding improved wellness; Appealing to employers and employees alike; Vitality is one the first mainstream insurers to recognise the effects of Covid-19 in its product design.
Not so plus points: Even costing less than £50pa per employee will be tough for many firms in the Covid-19 crisis; Not every employee will want to engage.
