This plan is a new low cost entry level private medical insurance (PMI) plan which includes: Full cancer cover. Or customers can choose to have NHS Cancer Cover Plus instead. This gives a lower premium and cancer is only covered when the treatment is not available under the NHS. Under this option there is no NHS cash benefit paid when treated for cancer though the NHS. August 2015 April UK: PMI
A short and simple review this… April UK has enhanced its SME private medical insurance (PMI) proposition by adding on free cancer cover. It will now pay out £10,000 through its complimentary Cancer Cash Plan upon diagnosis of a new cancer. The benefit is available to all main employees of group schemes with 3-9 members, provided they are between the ages of 18 and 64. August 2015 Friends Life: IP
Friends Life has updated the income protection element of its Protect+ plan through introducing the following: The guaranteed benefit has increased from £1,300 to £1,500 a month. This is paid without income checks when a claim is agreed. For customers where the insured benefit exceeds £1,500 a month, provided their earnings fall by less than 10%, the full benefit will now be paid for the full duration of their claim. August 2015 Cigna: WL
Cigna’s new whole of life policy is available to UK residents who are aged between 50 and 75 at outset and is only available as single life cover. The maximum sum insured is £40,000 and underwriting is in the form of answering just four questions, which can be either online or by telephone. There is no claims moratorium on the policy (unlike guaranteed acceptance plans) and customers go on risk immediately. Non-smokers pay less than smokers. August 2015 Now Health International: iPMI
From 1 August 2015, Now Health has brought in a number of product changes and announced its new prices. They range from a 2% hike in premium rates (in the Europe, Global and Asia Pacific regions) up to 10% in China. Now Health has the full list of price rises by region on its website.
