Ageas Protect has launched a business protection package, based around its term assurance and critical illness (CI) offerings. The package also includes trust deeds that can be set up online without customer signatures using its innovative e-commerce system. There is also a range of support items including information guides, calculators and sales aids, accessible through a microsite. National Dental Plan has entered the individual dental market with two innovative new products. Wisdom Benefits is a non-insurance plan that offers a 20% discount on private dental care plus on adult orthodontics and cosmetic dental procedures. Single and family membership is available, costing £19.95 and £29.95 a year respectively. Members can visit any dentist in the expanding network of dental practices (149 across the UK when we checked on 22 May). General & Medical has launched an accident insurance policy for individuals and teams. The plan is available in four versions—Sports Accident Key, Sports Accident, Sports Accident Plus and Sports Accident Elite. The Elite plan pays up to £30,000 on total and permanent disablement or on loss of sight, hearing or a limb. Lower benefits apply to more minor injuries (e.g. £1,200 for a broken leg); up to £500 a year is payable for physiotherapy and £1,100 a month (max £6Kpa) is paid on temporary total disability. Luxembourg-based Globality Health, which is part of Munich Health, has introduced a new international private medical insurance plan replacing its existing YouGenio product. The new plan offers geography-specific benefits and four different cover levels. A key element is adding a new lowest cost version, called Essential. Denplan offers a range of dental products (as well as its best known capitation plans), with its six product Wellbeing range for employers aimed at encouraging employees to visit the dentist regularly.
