We reviewed Alliance Surgical’s as.one plan for individuals in June and this version is the corporate version, launched on 1 August. Benefits are similar to the individual plan but vary based on the number of corporate members included in the scheme: Corporate 5 is for companies with up to five employees and the plan includes two consultations and £250 of Health Credits if the Plus version is selected. August 2014 BHSF: HCP
BHSF is introducing three major changes to its existing health cash plan products in September and October this year: Premiums are being increased for BHSF Corporate and THS Corporate health cash plans from 1 September and for Healthscheme plans from 1 October. BHSF cited ‘a steady increase in the cost of healthcare treatments’ as one reason behind the increase. A number of product changes and improvements will be implemented at the same time. As well as limiting price rises this year to 3-5% (lower than underlying medical inflation) Expacare has introduced a number of changes to its plans from 1 July. These include: The emergency evacuation benefit now includes an option for the patient to go back to where they came from after treatment or to go to their home. Up to 20 nights at up to £200 a night accommodation costs are also covered after being discharged from hospital if unfit to fly. Maternity limits have been increased. April UK’s new PA plan (Premier Plan) includes 21 fracture benefits plus anterior cruciate ligament injury and burns and permanent scarring and aims to protect those with active lifestyles. It pays up to £3,000 for a fracture, on a sliding scale based on which type of facture. Three versions are available – Bronze, Silver and Gold. The Plus version adds usual PA benefits on top.
