Cigna has launched Virtual Health as an add-on app for employers. It offers a range of healthcare benefits to Cigna’s PMI covered employees. The app includes a number of elements: My Virtual GP. Members can check their symptoms using the app’s Symptom Checker. If that identifies a need to see a GP, instead of making a physical appointment with their NHS GP, the member can instead make a virtual video appointment with a private GP through Dr Now (part of the Now Healthcare Group). Cirencester Friendly has launched My Extra Benefits as a package of add-ons that can be included on its Income Assured Plus and My Earnings Insurance income protection policies. The first option is Fracture and Hospitalisation Benefit. This is in two parts. British Friendly Care Assistance Benefit and Death Benefit

Income protection provider British Friendly has updated its existing plans by adding a Care Assistance Benefit at no extra cost to customers. The benefit is discretionary (which means it could be cut or changed at any time) and pays a flat £125 a week benefit if the customer’s partner or child (below age 18) needs care for 35 or more hours a week for a continuous period of four weeks or more. National Friendly’s Your Health Fund is a private medical insurance (PMI) plan for individuals. It offers a choice of two cover levels: Level 1: Diagnosis Plus.
