What is your biggest pet hate about the world of financial services?
My biggest pet hate is the amount of time spent chasing medical reports from doctors surgeries. Hopefully a more streamlined process will be adopted amongst all insurers in the future.
Another pet hate is declines, ideally insurer's offering cover with a higher rating/increased premium would be better received rather than an outright decline.
What is your favourite film/book, and why?
I enjoy reading and have lots of favourite books. One that I have read a number of times is Lord of the Flies . I enjoy the moral concept of the story , the conflict of order and savagery.
If you could pick any job in the world to do, what would it be?
Before working within the insurance industry, I had previously studied sport at college so I believe a job within the sports industry would be ideal for me.
If you could change one thing about the protection market overnight, what would you do?
I would improve access to insurance, making protection widely available to everybody.
What are your thoughts on winning the Young Achiever Award at Protection Review 2021?
Being a young woman in the industry I felt very privileged to have been recognised, it was a tough category and I was ecstatic to have won.
